Workaround for anchor link on another page

Is there any workaround to jump to a specific point on another page through a link? I know technically this isn’t permitted.
E.g. on my home page, the “about” button in my nav jumps to an anchor on the home page - my about section. How can I link the “about” nav button on another page to the about section on my home page?

Am open to code, etc. TIA!

Hey, I’m trying to figure out how to set up anchor links within one page. EG going from ‘ABOUT’ text in a header to ABOUT section on the home page. Would be super thankful iff u can help =)

Hi! Have you found a way to do this?

Hi! I found one way, not sure if you still need it haha. You could set the anchor on that page itself (eg. the about section on the home page), then copy that link to another page, the anchor link will stay.

This didnt work for me. When i place the link on the new page it takes me to the anchor point on that page. What Readymag needs is a page/anchor combo. Anyone else with any ideas?

I also need a solution of this. Any ideas?

I got you! There’s a way that you can do that in any webpage actually, you only need a portion of text to highlight":

  1. Highlight a portion of a text pressing the left key in your mouse, the text must be at the height you desire your link to scroll automatically. For this example, I’ll select the word Readymag in the text of Harvetica’s comment.

  2. Press right click to check the options of that text, like when you are going to Copy a text, but instead of clicking the option, you’ll select .

  3. And Ta Da! You have a link to go to a specific part of any page using highlight ;D in this case, the link I got when copying Harvetica’s comment is: Workaround for anchor link on another page - #6 by Harvetica
