Hello! We’re currently experiencing an issue affecting some websites connected to custom domains. Due to a problem with SSL certificates, some of these domains may be temporarily unavailable.

We understand how disruptive this can be and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Please note that projects without custom domains are not affected.

Our team is working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

@Readymag Please let us know estimated time and also let us know when it is all working. We need transparency and answers URGENTLY.

The same thing happened to me it’s been a few days! I applied to universities with this website and readymag won’t let me transfer

As a temporary workaround, we recommend duplicating your project and publishing it—the copy will be created without a custom domain and will be available on a readymag.website domain.

exactly this! why haven’t they emailed us an update? why do i only know my site is down because I happened to try and visit it today?

not to mention - why the heck are all our public facing websites down in the first place!? totally unacceptable

Just wanted to let you know that the issue has been resolved. Some custom domains may still experience temporary issues over the next few hours, but everything should be back to normal shortly.

If you need any further assistance, feel free to reach out to our team at support@readymag.com.

My SSL certificate is still not working on my custom domain despite your message. I urgently need it back up @Readymag Using the readymag default domain will not suffice because I have several applications out using my custom domain. @Readymag please provide an update and or reach out to my customer support request.

Hi, mine isn’t working either, please respond to mine and fix this, my job interview reached out to me today regarding this issue

It says to upgrade
your plan or unpublish an older
project.

Will you guys upgrade my plan for me?

@Readymag It works one minute, and then it doesn’t. What’s going on?

@Readymag please fix this, I sent out a bunch of job applications last week and now they’re all linking to a broken website. If this persists I have to switch platforms this is really terrible. I’m in the same boat as @Natalie_Wolpert in that I cannot use the readymag default domain because I already have sent out all of my applications using my custom domain

Hey! We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience and the stress this may have caused. Some custom domains may still experience temporary issues over the next few hours. Please reach out to us at support@readymag.com. We’ll provide individual support and make sure to help.

Hey Readymag team,

I got an email during the day (about 7 hours ago) that the issue was fixed. When I checked the website it was loading. Now I checked it this evening and the website is down again. Please consider fixing this such that it doesn’t repeat, as the lack of reliability affects our professional reputation too.

Best,
Kamal

I had the same thing. I had emailed, “use this domain instead, as there is a server issue.” Then it was working again, so I reached out with a “hey, please disregard previous email, the server is up again.” and now its down again. Safe to say–It looks quite unprofessional. I am sad to lose out on a fellowship I applied for. We should all get a free month or something

Hello! We are deeply sorry about this incident. What happened is an infrastructure update unintentionally invalidated SSL certificates for some domains, triggering a reissuance process and temporary downtime.

We stopped the update as soon as the issue was identified, all certificates have since been restored, and the update will not be resumed. We’re now rebuilding the infrastructure with a more reliable and scalable solution.

if your domain was affected, we’d like to offer compensation to your Readymag balance—please reach out to us at support@readymag.com, and we’ll take care of it :folded_hands:
