I’m looking for some references for a project. I know something similar must have be done with Readymag.
I want to create an illustrated map that serves as a canvas to visualise a complex knowledge collection. The map will be a metaphor for how an eduacational institution works and connects knowledge, and contain endless amounts of links to content, as well as quotes, etc.
Does anybody know about any project that shows an illustrated background with interactive elements?
Really curious about how this can be made responsive.
Thanks in advance!
Hello! This sounds wonderful!
Here are some examples of interactive maps: Coffee Receipt Stories — Explore, GANNI RESPONSIBILITY REPORT 2021 — PEOPLE: ACCOUNTABILITY
You can achieve this effect with hotspots.
Amazing! This is exactly what I needed, thanks!
Sounds like an awesome project! You could look at tools like Readymag, Figma, or Miro for interactive, illustrated maps. For custom maps, try Leaflet or Mapbox. Also, check out projects like The Utopia Map for inspiration on combining visuals with interactive elements.
