Hotspot icon keeps reverting to a circle

I am trying to make a burger menu on mobile view of my site. I made a hotspot with a text menu. However, the icon is acting all buggy. I keep trying to change it to the three-line burger icon, but it always appears as a circle (it also appears as a circle in preview view). I’ve deleted it and created a new one, and the icon doesn’t even appear at all in edit view (it does appear — as a circle — in preview mode).

I’m frustrated! Any fixes?

Turns out I can’t select the “star”/icon option in just creating a regular shape either (so I can’t manually create a burger menu either, except by creating three “line” shapes, wtf). What’s going on? Am I the only one? Is this a system-wide bug?

The bugginess of Readymag can often be frustrating, but this is the one time I’ve been totally unable to do the thing I want to do.
